2016 Elby Awards!
All of us had a great time last night at the #Elby Awards and we couldn’t be anymore proud of our chef, Will Longoria, for bringing home the award for Rising Culinary Star. He’s only been at the helm of our kitchen for a short time, but he has certainly already made his mark.
2 YEAR ANNIVERSARY PARTY!!
Since everyone has been so good to us over the past 2 years, we decided to shut down on Sunday January 24th and just throw one big ass party. We’ll have some snacks for everyone. We’ll be giving lots of hugs and probably a few kisses. We’ll be opening champagne with knives in the middle of 1st Street. Fernet will be flowing. We’re also putting together a Greatest Hits cocktail menu for the night. Some of our most loved drinks over the past 2 years will be back!
Also, in case you missed it, we recently took a field trip to Three Notch’d Brewing Company up in Charlottesville and brewed our very own beer. Its a dark roast coffee stout base infused with some of the flavor profiles of our favorite spirit, Fernet Branca! We couldn’t think of a better time to release it that on our 2 year anniversary.

We are thrilled to formally announce that we have hired Will Longoria as our new Executive Chef! Will comes to us from the dearly departed Magpie up the road. He was sous chef for nearly 5 years under the incredibly talented Owen Lane. You’d be hard-pressed to find a better mentor in Richmond than Owen.
Will has revamped our entire menu and has brought back our beloved Chef’s Tasting Menu. Will’s dedication to seasonal, local, nose-to-tail cooking fits perfectly to who we are. There’ll be more changes in the future, but for the time being, he’s just focused on cooking amazing delicious food.
So, #rvadine, come by this weekend to say hello to Will and help us welcome him to his new home.

WE DID IT!!!
We have the best cocktails in all of RVA. We’ve been saying it since we opened just over a year ago, and this past Sunday it was made official. We took home the award for “Best Cocktail Program” at The Elbys. We couldn’t be more thrilled and happy to have this award behind our bar. So thank you to all of our incredible guests that continue to push our creativity in our little corner of Jackson Ward.
